Hey from Berlin! Just stumbled on this post. I’ve been following TouchArcade since my iPhone 3GS days and loved the early era of iOS gaming. Feral, if you see this, please enable some sort of multiplayer, even if it’s just local LAN party.
Multiplayer was one of the most fun parts of this game. It becomes more of a race to develop your railroad, rather than just a financial management tycoon game.

I bet people would even be willing to make an in app purchase to enable it!

Im sad they went with this. The old artwork could get away without looking childish. Im really irritated by the constant Lolization of games. It makes me not want to play them. I wouldve liked a reboot of the original game with original graphics upscaled to modern devices.

Yep, agree. The combat is phenomenal.

Both games lack the complex dungeons of Zelda however.

That's what I thought. Not sure if he's answering the right post or what he's referring to.

Two action RPGs where one has a similar name and, in fact, is a direct descendent of the other game.

It's hardly surprising that they're often mentioned in the same breath.

The obvious omission of Zelda as an action RPG is curious, yet Zelda II is there which essentially is Ghosts and Goblins --- with stats.

The Ys and Mana series of games are also classed as action RPG ahead of Zelda despite lacking RPG dungeon systems.

Instead, Zelda is put in with Metroid.

Doesn't make sense.
